Project title: “On the Road to EU – Ending Violence against Women in Republic of Macedonia”

Donor: Foundation Kvinna till Kvinna

Objectives: Improved dialogue with decision makers for enhancing the existing legislative framework addressing violence against women and domestic violence; Increased participation and visibility of women’s organization and women human rights in EU accession process; Created preconditions for establishment and securing sustainability for regional package of specialized services for women victims of violence in 3 targeted regions in terms of developed policies and increased commitment of relevant stakeholders
Duration: January 2019 – December 2020

Project title: “Establishment of national helpline for positive parenting counselling”

Donor: UNICEF Macedonia

Objective: Establishment of a national helpline for positive parenting counseling the goal of which is to provide support to parents and other persons involved in the process of raising children in addressing the dilemmas and challenges they face with daily.

Duration: October 2018 – December 2019

Project title: “Advocating for adoption of social package for support of women victims of domestic and intimate partner violence”

Donor: Open Gate Association for action against violence and trafficking in human beings 

Objective: Establishment of effective framework for support of women victims of domestic violence that will contribute towards ending the violence and prevention from happening in the future, through improved access to relevant data and analysis for the challenges that women victims are facing, and towards development of models for protection and support; improved dialog with decision makers for enhancing the existing support system for women victims of violence; and increased public awareness for the challenges that women victims of domestic and intimate partner violence are facing.

Project title: “Conducting national study on violence against children”

Donor: UNICEF Macedonia 

The overall objectives of this study are to identify and evaluate the state response mechanisms to prevention, identification, reporting, referral and protection in cases of violence against children within the child protection system; as well as giving recommendations for strengthening the child protection system and improving the protection of children-victims of all forms of violence in the country.

Duration: November 2016 –March 2018

Project title: “Violence against Women as Part of the Agenda of Political Parties”

Donor: CIVICA Mobilitas, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation project, implemented by NIRAS from Denmark, the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation (MCIC) from Macedonia and the Swedish Institute for Public Administration (SIPU) from Sweden

Objective: Making violence against women a priority issue in the political parties programs in the pre-election period

Duration: November 2016 – January 2017

Project title: “Combating Violence against Women in Alignment with EU Standards”

Donor: Foundation Kvinna till Kvinna 

The aim of this project is improving national legislation and mechanism for protection concerning domestic violence victims and advocating for ratification of the Council of Europe Convention for prevention and combating violence against women and domestic violence.

Duration: November 2015 –December 2016

Project title: “Violence against women and media: Improvement of media reporting techniques and media coverage of violence against women cases”

Donor: CIVICA Mobilitas, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation project, implemented by NIRAS from Denmark, the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation (MCIC) from Macedonia and the Swedish Institute for Public Administration (SIPU) from Sweden

Main objective of the project is improvement of cooperation between civil society organizations and media in order to increase the awareness among general population about existence of different forms of violence against women, so as joint approach in the process of advocating for ratification of the Council of Europe Convention for preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence.

Duration: November 2015 – May 2016

Project title: “Advocating for securing sustainability of specialized services for domestic violence in Republic of Macedonia”

Donor: USAID Macedonia 

Goal of the project is coordinated action of women CSO’s on issues related to gender based violence and domestic violence towards
development of effective policies, improved services and increased awareness of general public and institutions. This means establishing support systems and mechanisms for protection for domestic violence victims with tendency to apply to all forms of gender based violence in future. 

Duration: July 2015 – May 2016

Project title: Designing and piloting a survivors’ oriented and integrated approach to immediate protection to survivors of domestic violence offered by Civil society organizations (partner organization of H.E.R.A )

Donor: UN WOMEN Macedonia

Objective: Improving access to quality and support services domestic violence victims through piloting of integrated access to direct support services based on minimum standards which civil society organizations offering specialized services to protect victims of domestic violence should meet.

Duration: March 2015 – October 2015

Project title: Coordinated Efforts- Toward new European standards in protection of women from gender based violence (partner organization of National council for gender equality ), phase II

Donor: European Union

The goal is to contribute to the establishment of comprehensive legal and
political solutions for protection from gender-based violence in the Western Balkans, so as conditions for achievement of democracy, human rights, social inclusion and harmonization with EU values.

Project title: “From Gender Inequality to Gender Democracy”

Donor: Shuller Helfen Leben

The goal of the project is to increase the knowledge about gender based violence, gender equality and gender democracy among youth population

Project title: “Advocating for improved policies/strategies on ending violence against women”

Donor: UN WOMEN Macedonia

Overall goal of the project is improving national legislation concerning domestic violence victims and presenting the need and developing concrete action plan that will include needed changes in order to have applicable CoE Convention for prevention and combating violence against women and domestic violence. 

Duration: November 2012 – October 2013

Project title: “Strengthening the capacities of the National network to end violence against women and domestic violence”

Donor: UN WOMEN Macedonia 

The long term goal of the project is to achieve more coordinated action of women CSO’s on the issue of gender based violence and domestic violence towards encouraging effective policy framework, improved services and institutional and public awareness.
