23.03.2018: Validation meetings on the research findings and recommendations for the improvement of the child protection system for children victims of violence

On 14, 15 and 23 March 2018, three validation meetings were organized with representatives of the relevant ministries and institutions working in the field of violence against children. The aim of the meetings was presentation and discussion on the findings and the recommendations obtained from the research on the treatment of cases of violence against children in the system for protection of children.

National Network to End Violence against Women and Domestic Violence, in partnership with UNICEF, conducted a Study on identifying and assessing institutional mechanisms for prevention, identification, reporting, referral and protection in cases of violence against children, within the framework of the system for protection of children. The implementation of the study was financially supported by the European Union, and co-financed by UNICEF, within the framework of the regional project for the protection of children from violence and inclusion of children with disabilities.

The first validation meeting took place on 14.03.2018 with representatives of the centers for social work and MOI, the second (15.03.2018) was with representatives of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Science, and the third meeting (23.03.2018) was with representatives from the justice sector – Ombudsman and Public Prosecutor’s Office.
