17.09.2018: Call for participation in the School for Female Activism

The National Network to End Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence is organizing a School for Female Activism the aim of which is create informed youth which will take active participation in the social life and will strive for realization of the rights to dignified life without violence, with special emphasis on women and girls. Better knowledge of the different forms of violence against women and domestic violence contributes to creation of a society with increased awareness of and zero tolerance for gender-based violence; a society which provides equal opportunities for all. The School for Female Activism is part of the project supported by the Municipality of Centar.

The National Network calls on all high-school female students interested to learn more about gender equality, gender roles, stereotypes, prejudices and gender-based violence to register for the School for Female Activism.

The School for Female Activism will comprise of two parts:

  1. Theoretical and interactive workshops
  2. Implementing initiatives for promotion of gender equality on the territory of the Municipality of Centar.

The theoretical and interactive workshops will focus on issues such as gender equality and gender-based violence, following which the participants, under the mentorship of the National Network team, will have an opportunity to develop and implement an initiative for a gender issue that inspires and motives them the most. The workshops within the School will take place every Sunday of October, and the initiatives will be prepared and implemented in November and December. At the end, the participants will be awarded a certificate for their participation.

We encourage all interested high-school female students (aged 15-18) who want to improve their knowledge and help reduce the all-present gender stereotypes to send a CV and a motivation letter to the following e-mail: coordinator@glasprotivnasilstvo.org.mk no later than 3 October.
